MAID Traffic Data Report
On 24th and 25th October, members of MAID undertook a traffic survey by simply counting vehicles passing from various places in the village. This was done because would-be developers keep quoting traffic data that we, as residents, find hard to believe. The data they present always suggests that there are no traffic problems of any kind, and that walking or cycling around the village is completely safe.
The data is limited in scope but is an accurate reflection of typical vehicle movements at specific times of specific days.

N.B. For Friday 24th, not all numbers of vehicles in and out of the village are consistent as timing periods were slightly different, and someone entering the High Street at one end may not exit at the other end. They may turn off or park for a while at the shop or as a resident. Data for 25th October are exact vehicle counts as all the data was collected from a single location over the same time period.
School Detail
Additional data was recorded close to the school given the high volumes and narrow lanes during drop-off and collection times.
